Creator 31039 'advanced' model. This thing is impressively large and can hold two figures. Lots of details, and the dark blue looks stunning on this. The wings area a fascinating build. Bottom is a little too flat, but I get that you need these parts to make the other two models. A great set of bricks with wings.

In celebration of 1,600 followers, we're going old

In celebration of 1,600 followers, we're going old school with our bricks with wings. This is set 6544, Transcon 2 from 1995. For over a decade, Lego designed aircraft looked like this, and they were the best. This set blends perfectly with my airport from 1985. The shuttle is elegant in its simplicity, and the beautiful red, white, and blue of the carrier aircraft is stunning. An easy set to assemble by today's standards, this was a must-have for wingnuts like myself. Proud to own this.

Set 76118. Huge fan of the Batman. This set has some great figures, especially Dr. Freeze! The cycles combine to form a mini-Tumbler, and Freeze gets a simple little snowmobile. It works. Lots of detachable swords, guns, and bombs. Good fun on a dark night.
